Summary
When Ace runs off to confront Whitebeard without either of his brothers, any of his crew, his ship, or, for that matter, anything other than the clothes on his back, Sabo is left to play catch up before his idiot brother gets himself killed or, worse, adopted.
Hopefully, Ace is annoying enough that the Whitebeards simply give him back. Sabo certainly wishes he could do the same some days.
(Oh and Sabo and Ace share the power of the Mera Mera fruit. Somehow, this is still the least of their worries.)

"A light starts blinking in the corner of your eye, drawing your attention towards your idle monitor just before an incessant beeping starts up. The noise thankfully doesn’t begin to drive you out of your mind before a few clicks on your keyboard brings the screen to life. The beeping goes quiet but the light continues to flash and a shortcut on the home screen blinks at you. You navigate into the program that connects you to the observatory in New York and you look at the recorded anomaly - anomalies! - and a grin slowly stretches across your face. “Yes!” you cheer and throw your arms up, spinning away in your desk chair. “Finally!” When your foggy mind absorbs the rest of the relevant information, however, your stomach sinks like a stone in water.
There were three meteors within a week of landing which is… Well, it’s certainly not expected and you can feel the headache coming on as you imagine trying to explain to the twenty-somethings that surprise! You’re gonna be parents after all. Yeah, that’ll be great."
(Or, a Post-Scratch AU where Dirk and Roxy land at the same time as Jake and Jane. Oh, and some more familiar faces show up in the Alpha Session. Or, an AU just about as convoluted as Homestuck itself.)

Monkey D. Garp had spent pretty much his entire life doing things that he didn’t want to do.
Some would argue that Garp had never had a choice but to walk the path of a marine. Garp would argue that both of his parents had been strong, loyal marines as well. Even if there hadn’t been an active draft, Garp would have proudly followed in his parent’s footsteps!

Summary
“That’s not fair,” Bad protests. Dream raises an eyebrow at him and jerks his tied hands in emphasis, clearly saying that none of this is fair.
“Look, you keep running! Who runs if they’re not guilty?” Bad challenges, staring him down with obvious distrust from the generous distance of exactly five feet. It’s fair, as much as Dream hates to admit it; it’s not like he’s been the most honest hostage in the past, with all of his escaping and running and framing himself for his own murder, apparently.
“Only the good die young, and only the guilty run,” Technoblade chimes in, holding his own potato and sitting in the snow like it’s not cold at all.
A hot flash of irritation burns through him.
“Someone being chased?” he counters sarcastically, jerking his tied wrists up again to wave them in front of the group. Sapnap laughs so hard that he almost chokes on his potato, but it dies off when Dream gives him an icy stare.
Or: Dream is having a hard time, and the hunter just want to adopt him like a stray puppy that bites you at every opportunity.
