    In a vibrant LGBTQ+ youth shelter, A.J. Crowley passionately advocates for mistreated kids, particularly his teenage transgender cousin who is currently under his wing. Enter Aziraphale 'Ezra' Fell, a dedicated social worker, new to town after a bad breakup, aiming to mend broken families. Their paths cross when one of Ezra's cases leads him to Crowley's shelter. What starts as a conflict of ideals turns to a powerful attraction, and they find themselves entangled in a battle risking not only their professional ethics but also the very things they cherish most.

     

    “Ugghh, you're so … stubborn!” said Crowley.
    “And you're being contrary and obdurate,” retorted Ezra.
    “Those are both just other words for stubborn!” said Crowley. “You're just trying to sound fancy!”
    “Maybe I like to sound fancy! Maybe it makes me happy!”

     

    They glared at each other for another second, and then Crowley noticed that Ezra was trying to conceal a smile. He could feel a grin forming on his own face, and tamped it down, hard. Liking anything about this man would make his job a lot more difficult.

    1847. Aziraphale Fell arrives at Eden Hall to take up his new position as tutor to the young heir. The house is enormous, remote, and its occupants rather strange — but none more so than its master, the ill-mannered but inconveniently handsome Mr Crowley.

    Mr Crowley’s gaze lingered on him.

    ‘Now I see you in broad daylight, I can tell you’re no gentleman.’

    Aziraphale bristled. He was wearing his best ensemble, and it was of fine enough quality, if a little rumpled from the luggage.

    ‘Whereas you certainly look the part, even if your manners suggest otherwise.’
