She knew that if she tried to speak all her strength and resolve would disappear so she just nodded. A forced smile on her face praying Anthony wouldn't notice but he did. "I think you might need this more than me" he handed her his glass and she took it down in one gulp.
No one was looking her way, no one ever did so she bee lined it to the bar. She would need more than just one glass of whiskey if she wanted to survive tonight. But one person did notice. Anthony Bridgerton, the wrong Bridgerton.
