    After a near-apocalyptic event spawned from within the kingdom of Greenhills, the young prince, Shadow, having survived the necessary sacrifice to undo Lord Gerald's curse upon the world, comes to Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and the loyal servant Stone to deliver news of Robotnik's survival, having previously been presumed dead.
    It is revealed that Gerald placed a curse upon the alchemist before he lost his life, leading to Stone having to make a decision. One that would later change his relationship with his majesty, Robotnik, forever.
