Summary
In Earth’s future, humanity has expanded its reach to the front yard of its galaxy. Planets uncharted and undiscovered alike have been settled on and industrialized on a scale unseen before, each with their own cultures and societies. Each planet needs some sort of law enforcement, handled by PMCs contracting operators to do their bidding.
On the eternally snowy planet Sastrugi, a currently idle Overt Rebellion Control and Suppression team (ORCAS for short) gets new orders from high command: depart the outpost they’d been guarding to hunt down a rogue agent responsible for the deaths of her squad and destruction of their outpost. In the following two days, an ORCAS sniper realizes that the things that meant the most to her were all-too-often the most fleeting.A short novel about blind obedience turning into blind revenge. Not a light-hearted read. It’s currently unfinished and you could say it’s in an “alpha” stage. Chapters will be reviewed and sometimes edited until they achieve the quality I think works— until then, enjoy the process!
