“Asked you or told you?” Nick can feel his heart get as stuttery as Silas’s breath.
“Told me.” Silas says back. He’s beyond glassy eyed to an obvious sheen of tears.
Nick grins. He knows the two of them play around, but he can’t pretend that he isn’t insanely curious about what they do. But being involved like this is new. New and hot and he wants to know more.
“What did Malik have to finish that wasn’t you?”
“Phone call.” Silas says, high pitched and miserable sounding.
Nick tries not to laugh. He would bet a thousand euros there was no phone call. A hundred thousand euros.
