"Did you find your bag Tanner?”
“Uh huh. It's got my books in it.” He explained as he dragged the red backpack into the kitchen. “For library day.”
Frank nodded. “Library day huh, Mum told me all about that. I heard there's royalty involved?”
Tanner leant against the table with such a dramatic sigh Frank couldn't help but laugh. “It's a princess. She's the library princess and she reads the stories.”
Frank looked back over at Tanner. “What makes her a princess?”
“She's a lady and a king. And she came in dressed up one time in her crown and everything.” Tanner trailed off for a moment, focused on pulling a face at Penny. “I'm going to marry her one day. If I become a knight, like in the stories.”
Frank's still piecing his life together after rehab when he runs into her again. Mel King. Turns out the coworker he thinks about a little too often is the princess tanner is infatuated with. What starts as an unexpected meeting turns into a second chance at friendship with her, and maybe something more.

Summary
Peter has been mistaken for homeless a surprising number of times now. He needs to stop falling asleep in alleyways after patrol. Most people ignore him, but one man, Frank, tries help him out.
It's sweet, and something Peter remembers fondly. He hadn't been looked after like that in a long time. Frank's kindness was exactly the thing he needed.
Which is why it's so shocking to run into Frank on patrol, and realise the kind stranger is also a violent vigilante.
When Frank mistakes Peter for being homeless, he does his best to help him out. The kids about the same age as Frank's youngest would be. He couldn't just ignore the freezing kid, sleeping in an alley.
He doesn't really think about it again, other than to occasionally wonder if Peter's doing better, if he's safe and warm.
Little does he know, the asshole in a red and blue suit who keeps ruining his missions is the very same person as that poor beat up kid Frank found curled up in an alleyway

Peter is settling in for a nice calm stakeout when none other than Frank Castle barges in. As luck would have it they both are staking out different things, but from the exact same vantage point. They aren't enemies, they kind of get along (even if Frank refuses to admit what happened on Staten Island) but they sure as hell aren't close enough to be cooped up together like this. To make matters worse, Peter's not ready to give up his comfortable spot on the only couch, a spot that Frank is determined to take.
