After one too many dreams about a dead boy he takes his truck and RV and hits the road, trying to run away from ghosts and expectations.
He never planned for his truck to break down in the middle of nowhere, Pennsylvania.

Steve tilts his head to the side as he thinks. Maybe not very often, but his freshman year when Davey Riggs had been swim team captain? Yeah, he had definitely imagined some stuff that had made trips to the locker room kinda awkward.
“Yeah, that's true,” Steve answers, nodding. “I wonder why everybody acts like it's so gross, though.”

He’s managed to keep Dustin safe, coming up on six years of the two of them criss-crossing the Midwest, tracking down the monsters who are still slipping through the cracks between worlds, and ending them. And he’s got PK686766, who he met in an anonymous chatroom and whose emails are now kinda the highlight of his day. And who can maybe give him a little advice on what to do when a guy you thought was dead suddenly returns out of nowhere, and is now apparently set on blowing up your life.
Eddie’s life is fine. He’s alive, for one thing. Has gotten pretty good by now at his new gig, letting Uncle Sam point him like a cannon at extra-dimensional nasties and go “boom.” Sure, things are a little more complicated now that Steve Harrington has decided to be a massive bitch about Eddie’s attempts to stop his and Dustin’s homicidal amateur crusade against the forces of darkness. Summary
When the power briefly goes out in their dorm, Eddie blindly grabs what he assumes to be a flashlight from Steve's bed. As if having a crush on his hot roommate wasn't enough, accidentally discovering his sex toy sends Eddie into such a spiral of graphic fantasies about Steve that he can no longer look him in the eye and tries to avoid him at all cost. Until Steve confronts him about his behavior one morning, and things take a very unexpected, rather embarrassing at first, but absolutely amazing turn, with Steve matching his freak down to a capital F.
