Summary
It's New years eve and Sage of Truth hopes to spend it cuddled in his bed all alone after the hell that was the Christmas season. College finals destroyed him and so did his work. He longed to sleep deep into the night.
Yet nothing ever goes to plan.
A last minute change of plans has Truthless Recluse in his room. He now gets to deal with the other's sideways gaze and careless nature. He was determined to have the other obsessed with him by the end of the night. (spoiler alert: Truthless Recluse was desperate to tear into the other's loose fitting sweaters.)

Summary
A final thought came to him.
Eventually... He would slip into his permanent drift.
Not sleep. Not death. Something slower. Quieter. A dream that never ends.
In it, perhaps, he could build the world he never had. A world untouched by betrayal, unburdened by power.
Or maybe… he’d dream of what came after. Where he no longer had to be good or wise or anything at all.
Perhaps he’d see them again there, Eternal Sugar, Mystic Flour, Burning Spice, Silent Salt; shadows of themselves, softer, kinder.
But maybe not.
It didn’t matter.
The dream would be his.
—
Shadow Milk is torn between further corruption and redemption. But comfort is easy to fake. Paradise is easier to build when it’s built on lies. Maybe he’ll make his own.

Summary
Shadow Milk was a ‘normal cookie’; he often found it funny that he shared the same name as a character from a novel he read. Friends and students alike frequently teased him for it. But alas, he was a teacher at heart, and there was no way in his mind that he would torment someone so kind-hearted who believed in the truth.
After all, Pure Vanilla was such a charming character that he was swayed by his lowest and cried at his peaks when he overcame his suffering.
This is why it was distressing to find himself as an astral projection watching over Pure Vanilla in a world where he was still known as “Healer Cookie.”
With a book in his hands, he was given a checklist of requirements. Oh- He was Shadow Milk Cookie, from the novel. Shouldn’t he be given a script? Witches, where would he even begin? He was a performer at heart, but in something so life-like, he might have been given an impossible task.
Please let this be a lie, or a dream. Yes, a dream was better.

Summary
A throbbing pain in his beautiful face. Crumbs falling to his clammy hands. A voice.
“... You do not have to be alone anymore. I am right here.”
The light, so blindingly dazzling, in the form of a cookie and a king- or, in better terms, a cookie and a king, taking a form of light- extending his hand towards another, reaching, pulling.
The other has no words.
“Let me be your friend.”
“... Friend…?”
