It was a nice, clear evening when Avery went out the door.
Not a single cloud had skimmed the sky as the sun smiled through the trees and reflected in and off his body as he hummed into the forest. He weaved around trees and waltzed through tall grass, brushed through flowers and pushed through bushes, and felt the breeze swish and hug around him as he strolled.
The glimmering sun through the leaves and the vast blue of the sky had ensured that checking for his umbrella had no chance of crossing his mind.
The cold wind probably should have reminded him.
Or: Avery forgets his umbrella and it rains. Derek comes to help because he’s awesomesauce.
