    “Whatever,” Spidey interrupts. He takes a step back, standing right on the edge of the roof. “You should’ve told me. It’s not fair to make someone think—” he cuts himself off. Shakes his head. “Whatever,” he repeats.

    Or: Spidey overhears one side of a phone call between Wade and his daughter, Ellie. Wade's starting to realize that he probably should've mentioned he had a kid sometime in the last five years.

    Exactly as the title describes. If I have to suffer, then so does Peter Parker, aka all of my Peter Parker projection fics!! I have a handful of more lighthearted fics on my account, this series is just all my angsty hurt/comfort.

    “About how adorable you were in your Tobey Maguire movies?”

    “What? No, you never said that. Tobey Who?”

    “Ah, never mind, that was in the comics, I think it was Cable & Deadpool #24? Hmmm… Oh, wait, I remember, I was telling you about how you had the finest ass I’d ever—”

    “No,” Spider-Man cuts in, firmly. “No, Deadpool, it was like, after all that. After we fought together for the first time, remember what you said?” He motions with his hands as though he was trying to prompt the right response.

    “Oh! That you were so cute and awesome, you could get a free hit on the house— oh,” His white lenses widen with realization, then squint in confusion. “Wait, Spider-Man wants to call in a hit on someone?”

    As Parker luck would have it, it's awfully hard for Peter to die. He's tried everything he can think of: hanging, drowning, overdosing, gassing, cutting... He's been blessed with the powers of a spider and the immortality of a goddamn cockroach. In a final, desperate attempt to end his life, he asks Deadpool to put out a hit on a seemingly ordinary civilian: Peter Parker.

    Wade Wilson works as a mercenary for The Organization and it's absolutely as shady as it sounds. But who is he to complain when someone will pay him to do the thing that he'd be doing for free anyway? (Murder. He's talking about the murder.)

    Unfortunately, Government Black Ops aren't too keen on letting Wade do what he does best without a little bit of... insurance. Every merc is assigned a handler; a comms person in their ear that feeds them intel and makes sure they don't go (too) rogue.

    And Wade? Well, he was just assigned a new one.
