Summary
And then Eddie exhales, shaky and uneven, the words spilling out before he can stop them. “I think we should kiss,” he says.
Buck blinks. “What?”
Eddie laughs once - a short, nervous sound - but the words keep coming, unstoppable now. “Just… to see what it’s like. I hadn’t really thought about it before now, not seriously, but - there’s something different about tonight.”OR
It's not about the fire.
It's about what comes after - the quiet, the burgers gone cold, the shared milkshake that always tastes a little too sweet.
Buck talks too much. Eddie doesn't say enough. Somewhere between the laughter and the late nights, something starts to shift - soft, unspoken, inevitable.
Three nights. One confession
And all the things they never meant to say out loud. -

Summary
“Oh damn, It is close to November.” Buck mutters.
Eddie comes in then, “Eddie do you know what makes November weird for Buck?”
“Huh?”“He made a weird comment about not being ready for November . I don’t think it is recipe or holiday planning related, considering he doesn’t ever host and he is already a suspiciously good gift giver.” Chimney pries.
“I don’t know. Maybe he is gonna go Keto or something until thanksgiving.” Eddie shrugs.“No , not again.” Buck shivers.
“Huh, are there obscure holidays and events?”“All Saints Day!?” Bobby says.
“What is that?” Buck asks, confused. “It is an old catholic tradition, like white people’s Dia Las Muertas,” Eddie explains.
They throw out a few more internet holidays, until Ravi gets a funny look “Is it No Nut November?”Buck blushes as Ravi laughs, “Dude!”
Bobby whips around, “Are you alright? Did you develop an allergy? Do I need to modify our recipes?”
Buck shakes his head , “That.. no. I am not allergic to nuts.”
“He has acquired a newfound liking for them actually.” Ravi teases as Hen and Chimney cackle.

Summary
Eddie didn’t exactly mean to take the LAFD shirt that said Buckley on the back. Or maybe he did. Either way, wearing it around the station turns into a running joke, one that spirals into something deeper when Buck starts noticing just how good Eddie looks in his clothes—and how much Eddie secretly likes the attention.

Summary
“I’m sorry?” Athena demanded. He just couldn’t take it! He was drunk and angry and sad and losing his fucking mind.
Buck stood so fast the metal chair clattered to the floor behind him. His frame loomed over Athena in a way that would be threatening if he was your average run of the mill criminal. With the volume of his voice, he wouldn’t be surprised if someone came to supervise through the one-sided window, “You aren’t grieving! You’re working! You’re selling houses! You’re — you’re being the same old Athena! Just like everyone else, everyone else has just gone back to status quo. Work, dates, picnics, and fucking rainbows! You’ve all moved on and I am still in that lab. Still on the wrong side of the glass!”
OR
Athena reveals to a drunk, grief stricken Buck that she thinks Bobby is alive. Buck and Athena venture on a journey to fill the hole in everyone's heart with the one person missing. Miscommunications happen and the firefam comes to the conclusion Athena and Buck are... dating?
