"If you really want me to stop, I will of course.” Annabelle makes no move away from him. “But I don’t think you want me to. In fact, you’ve been wanting this for quite some time I think.”
“Please. By all means, please, explain to me how I actually do want you to suspend me across a gaping hole in reality by nothing but flimsy webs!” Martin's voice has reached a shout by the end of the sentence.
One movement sends the web shaking, and it stills him immediately.
She sounds almost indignant as she fiddles with her weaving. “You’re in no position to call them flimsy.”

Summary
It's rare for Martin to have the flat all to himself now that he's been crashing over at Jon's. And while he's grateful for the roof over his head, cohabitation makes self-care far more complicated. Doubly so when the guy you fancy sleeps just one wall away. Triple when that same guy can apparently hear Martin's pulse from down the hall. A wall just isn't going to cut it if Martin wants to be absolutely sure of his privacy.
