“Do you love me, Hannibal?” he asks, all of his breath rattling out in shattering control. The hitch and whimper is emasculating and he pushes until the edge of the counter digs into his thighs.
The gust of breath from Hannibal’s dry laugh fans his hair and warms his face. Fermented grape wine up his nostrils; sharp and tangy making him salivate. He licks his lips.
“Do you need me to confess, Will?”
“Confession is good for the soul.”

Summary
This is a time-travel fix-it (sort of). After Will pulls them off the cliff, Hannibal wakes up on the day he met Will.
He proceeds to experience a lot of different loops where he tries to do things differently so they'll end up closer to his ideal outcome, and then things that will create Will's perfect world, and then he just... he just wants to create the perfect life for the two of them. Will's perfect and his own perfect don't really mesh, and Hannibal begins to realize that maybe... maybe some of the things he did to Will were bad. Maybe he was wrong. Maybe he even regrets some of his choices.
Hannibal learns the rules of time travel as he is forced to loop for what amounts to hundreds of years. He has to get it right. He has to fix whatever he did wrong. Because his real body and his real Will are still falling, and until Hannibal gets this right, he won't be able to save them.

Summary
Hannibal has them on a schedule, rotating hotels and motels every third and fourth day. They never stay long and have been through three vacancies already. Will’s growing tired of it but he doesn’t express it much. Hannibal has gotten them a handful of books to read, as Will is rapidly learning, running from the police isn’t really all that fun.
Unfortunately for Will, that's not even going to be his biggest problem.

Sometimes being with someone weighs heavier than their absence. Sometimes you just want to stay down in the depths, but if Will knows anything for certain, it's that most things end where they start. And that he has no choice but to ball his fists, cuss himself out, follow suit and hold on tight.

After the fall Will and Hannibal end up in an isolated shack in Nova Scotia. Their relationship evolves with every place they move to. They push past pain killers, close proximity, bad dreams, curtainless windows and dead memories. Past is past, they can only keep going.

His voice is garbled from the wound in his cheek and weak from disuse, it’s the first word he said in five days since their fall, the first time he came to from drug-induced sleep Hannibal put him into.
“Yes, Will,” he doesn’t sound much better, who else is he going to talk to if Will is not here to respond?
“Alive…”
With that, Will’s out again. His reply was so faded that Hannibal didn’t have time to decipher whether it was a question or a statement, if Will is happy that they are or dissatisfied with it. Could it be a suffering sigh of disappointment?
Hannibal’s stomach hurts and it has nothing to do with the wounds on his own body. There is a lot to think about.

Summary
Post fall, Will has been distant but amicable enough, and Hannibal believes he just needs time to settle. Hannibal is smitten, obviously, and eager to start a new life with Will. Everything seems to be going well, with the exception of the last roadblock of Will remaining distant and closed off. Still, they spend a lot of time together, and Hannibal truly believes Will feels affection for him, and especially after their first kill together and Will’s choice to stay with him, Hannibal feels emboldened by all this to actually express his affection for Will in more overt, explicit ways.
He tells Will he loves him. It doesn't go as planned.
