Summary
Water fell in an even, rhythmic pattern, echoing across cobblestones. A shallow puddle gathered in the low corner of a damp dungeon. Chill seeped from the cracks in the walls and floor.
Chains clinked gently across stone, and an occasional draw of haggard breath pushed through the silence. A woman was on her feet, barely, knees bent and head hanging, hands manacled above her head. She was gripping and releasing the chains in time to the drips, trying to keep blood flowing through her aching arms and shoulders. She inhaled and exhaled slowly, dry tongue occasionally darting out onto dry lips. Blonde hair hung down, framing her face, sticking to her neck.
Kara Zor-El, princess of Krypton, was a prisoner – and she was scheduled to become a martyr.

Summary
A semi-academic, entirely unserious exploration of Kryptonian xenobiology — or, as Lena Luthor might put it, “peer-reviewed curiosity with personal stakes.”
Each entry examines one possible facet of Kryptonian anatomy and the emotional chaos that follows when human science meets alien intimacy. Expect questionable research ethics, mutual fascination, and the occasional lab table used for purposes far removed from data collection.
(A collection of loosely connected one-shots set in the same tongue-in-cheek universe: science, sensuality, and a lot of glowing diagrams.)

Summary
Kara Danvers is a good assistant. A little inexperienced, maybe, but she has other qualities. A good memory. Punctuality. An uncanny knack for always having exactly what Lena wants before she asks for it. And, of course, absolutely zero connections. Not to other businesses. Not to Lex. There’s something to be said for an assistant that won’t plant bugs in her office. Or let in assassins.
But, perhaps, Lena should rephrase. Kara Danvers used to be a good assistant. Maybe the best assistant Lena’s ever had. So why, pray tell, was Lena’s most reliable assistant suddenly terrible?...
What if Kara had become Lena Luthor's assistant instead of Cat Grant's?

“Lena.” Her name is a slow sigh. A patient, painstakingly fragile one at that.
Lena closes her eyes, inhaling against the torrent of emotions fighting towards a surface she’s not ready to break.
