Summary
An AU where somehow Dan is not dead... a year after the battle at the Coliseum. It's Christmas, and one twin is sitting alone in a run-down dive of a bar, drinking gin. Michael contemplates his life and what he has lost. All around him, people are happy. On the TV, Christmas songs play, all of them jovial.
Lucifer is at Lux holding a Christmas Party for his chosen family and friends, surrounded by those he loves.
Michael hears a sad song begin to play, "Lonely This Christmas," by Mud. And the lyrics hit home and Michael feels so lost and alone.

Summary
Michael historically had a pretty complex history with Michaelmas, particularly beginning in 2007 when God extended the holiday to connect Roman Catholic and Orthodox Christian Michaelmas celebrations, leaving him open to more intense prayers during that five week period. Beginning in 2019, dealing with it got more and more horrifying until it critically affected his mental health, and in 2025, his Mother finally cut off the prayers that were supposed to go away in 2016 when he stopped being a saint. She said they were gone permanently.
Now, it's 2026, and everyone is quietly panicking, waiting to see if She is a Goddess of Her word and Michaelmas no longer a threat.

In 6x 666 words Michael becomes the reluctant God of their universe after a serious brain injury left him crippled. As told through the eyes of Michael himself, Gabriel, Uriel, Jophiel, and Lucifer. Full of whump and angst but also recovery. Info in the author's note. Enjoy!

Summary
Sometime, after the end of season five, Lucifer dragged Michael up from Hell, because he's NOT his father, and put him to work. It's a shame Michael just can't appreciate how much better he has it than he had. And no, he does not feel guilty about it! Truly!
