It was a rhetorical question, of course; Kris vividly remembered each and every repetition they’d been subjected to.
Three times. They’d gone through this godforsaken series of events three times.
They’d killed Berdly three times.
They couldn’t do this again.Kris has been through hell and back almost two dozen times. It's about time to take matters into their own hands.
