“Yeah, he was. Won pretty much everything he entered,” Alex said. Their tone had changed; from high pitched when they laughed at his miserable fall, to now, almost whispering, scared that mystery boy would hear them. “I mean, it wasn’t professional levels; more like BE100 and novice; but he was good, definitely.”
“Shit. Novice, really?” Logan asked, glancing back to where mystery boy was still packing hay. “No offence, but he doesn’t really look like…” he trailed off, waving around his arms, like that was going to explain anything.
“He struggles lifting the water buckets, yes,” Alex said, rolling his eyes.
Or; Oscar and Logan are new to the stable, and Oscar finds himself getting an extremely tiny crush on the mystery boy.
