Starscream remained still for a few more moments before finally speaking up again. “Skyfire, why is everything slowing down?”
Skyfire quirked an optic ridge. “Hm? What do you mean?”
“Time, Skyfire. Time feels slower. I can feel it and see it passing by. It’s making me nervous. I don’t like it. I don’t think I like feeling and seeing time.”
A wide grin settled on the shuttle’s face. That perfectly clued Skyfire in. He now knew the answer to Starscream’s puzzling question.
“Starscream, you’re high.”

Summary
Well. If Skyfire wasn't leaving the planet, then neither would he.
Starscream stays on Earth, trying to find Skyfire, but high energon readings make it impossible to find him. He experiences Earth's history over time, the rise of humans, no less than four Cybertronian ships crashing, crushing loneliness, and unlikely friendship.
He tries to stay hopeful that Skyfire is alive somewhere, but it starts to get really, really hard.
