Maka has a boyfriend: Soul. The two of them have been together since middle school, and so far Maka has been perfectly happy with the sweet and innocent status quo of their relationship. However things change during their sophomore year of high school when the starting of sex-ed, as well as Soul requesting to perhaps try out some of the things they have learnt about in sex-ed, leads Maka to realize that she might not be as attracted to her boyfriend as she once thought she was. Not only that, but the sudden appearance of a new transfer student in their class, Crona, is starting to make Maka realize that perhaps she also isn’t quite as straight as she once thought she was.
A story about breaking up, falling in love, discovering yourself, and being yourself, as well as what happens when all those things intersect.

After graduating from the DWMA, Crona now works with professor Stein as his live-in lab assistant. Together they’re working hard to combat a strange new virus that has started spreading all over the world. Everything is going fine, until Medusa is suddenly found to still be alive! The only catch is that she’s lost all her memories, and what’s more Shinigami-sama wants her to help Stein and Crona develop a vaccine for the virus! With their new life suddenly turned upside down by their mother’s presence, how is Crona supposed to deal with this? Could this “new” Medusa turn out to be the kind of mother they’ve always wished for? Or will the memories from the past prove to be too painful?
