Summary
Seen that, not interested in this, not doing a horror movie (made that mistake once… and never again. Not just because of Rocky, but because I almost shat my pants too.), seen that… twice, already watched—
Wait a minute. I scroll back up a bit and am met with a pleasantly familiar face, staring back at me. The cover is tinted in dark yellows and reds, with a barely visible arrow, pointed accusingly at the viewer and a conspicuous burning pin, right behind the title.
The Hunger Games.
Or, Grace and Rocky watch the entire Hunger Games trilogy and through one keen observation end up baring all their pent up feelings for one another.

"Okay, so, just for brainstorming purposes, the carving should be somewhat round in shape, but it has to be related to me. Specifically my body so it feels like a part of me is a part of you. And it should also match the handprint on my forearm in substance, so anyone seeing it, would connect the dots and realize I'm yours and you're mine. Did I forget anything?"
"No, Grace got all parameters correct, maybe was wrong about bad human memory after all."

Or, Grace and Rocky—after confessing— decide to get married and now need to figure out what to carve into Rocky’s arm. They don’t however, foresee the effect said carving might have on Rocky. (Wink, wink)

Summary
Observation one: the scar Rocky left on my arm looks suspiciously similar to eridian typical mate marks.
Observation two: Rocky seems to be flirting with me.
First of all he keeps finding excuses to touch me, like brushing my knees and thighs as he walks by me, or “accidentally” bumping into me. And then there’s the comments…
He made one just yesterday, after I finished the last of my (frankly disgusting) coma slurry as he was observing me intently the entire time. That’s also strange. Didn’t he say eating was very private, almost intimate to his species?
Whatever, my point is, he perked up, trilling happily, and then almost playfully said, “Grace so good, swallow so prettily.”
That… he can’t not know what kind of insinuation that comment holds right?! Which brings me back to my notes:
Hypothesis one: Rocky thinks we are in a romantic relationship.
Hypothesis two: I’m totally loosing my mind and making connections where there are non. (I’m not very confident about Hypothesis two)
Or, Grace realises the scar on his arm is similar to Rocky’s mate mark and panics when Rocky (seemingly) out of nowhere starts flirting with him.

What if you just sought release, the small mostly unpleasant voice in my head whispers and I stop dead in my tracks.
Could I?
No, Rocky hears everything going on inside the ship—heck she probably hears me running around in circles right now, wondering what’s gotten into me—there is no way I could jerk off without her knowing. And while I’m all for cultural exchange and demonstrations of common habits, masturbation is one I don’t really want to breach yet.
I resume my pacing.
What if that’s the reason my body’s been acting this way lately in the first place? As far as I know I haven’t had any sort of sexual release in at least five years, so my body could just be going through withdrawal and has latched onto the only other person here.
Now for my other problem, aka the execution. How do I masturbate in a tiny ship with a roommate who can literally “see” through walls? The answer’s simple, really.
I just need to wait until Rocky is asleep.
Or, Grace tries to deal with her newfound (but maybe not so new) attraction towards her alien roommate.

Summary
“I don’t— please no… don’t send me off to die, I don’t want to die please!” This time it’s accompanied by the rustling of bedsheets. I speed up. Almost there, almost there.
On a first listen Grace appears to be safe and sound but now that I focus in on her I hear her racing heartbeat paired with unsteady breaths. I also notice the fluid running down her cheek. It seeps into the pillow under her head forming a damp spot. Something is definitely wrong.
What should I do?
Is there even anything I can do?
I know the answer to that question and it’s a definitive no. I am completely powerless when it comes to this. My hearts ache. It hurts to know I can’t even fulfil the simplest of duties for her, for the person I love. Dread creeps up my limbs, making its way towards my middle, threatening to consume me completely. I can’t do anything. I’m useless. Just like back then.
I couldn’t save them and I can’t save Grace—
Or, Grace is tormented by nightmares but never explained to Rocky what those are so she rightfully panics.

Barely a year into their trek to Erid and it seemed like something new broke every other day. Today, it was a screen in the mental health node – not life-threatening, sure, but with the bulk of the trip still yawning before them it was a real issue. Ryland grunted as he lifted the reflective surface off the section in need of repair, lowering it slowly to the ground below. Rocky chittered nervously from the doorway, rocking back and forth in his ball. There weren’t exactly any ladders on the Hail Mary, so he was making due with a lab stool he’d unscrewed from the floor. Rocky hated this, naturally.

Summary
“Good good, now use welding tool to join.” He moves Grace’s wrist to position the rod so it turns farther outward.
“Slow slow gentle,” he repeats. Grace is actually going to die.
He stretches his finger, tugging the wires connecting the mechanisms, and clicks the fingertips together to create a spark. Rocky chitters cheerfully behind him.
“Good good, Grace doing good.”
Grace’s face is burning. Rocky’s body heat seeps into him; he’s running hot all over, but especially in his face. Rocky doesn’t comment on it yet, hopefully ascribing Grace’s fever-like state to his own body being a smelting furnace.
He wets his dry lips again. “Thanks, bud, I think I’m getting the hang of it.”
Grace sucks at flirting. But when he comes across Ghost (1990) while looking for something to watch for their movie night, he has a brilliant idea: to recreate the pottery wheel scene with Rocky. He asks Rocky to teach him to make xenonite sculptures using Eridian welding tools. Naturally, things escalate from there.
