He’s going to die, he thinks. He can’t believe that this is how he goes — drowning at the Bandee Community Pool on a busy January day. He can almost hear Hunter and Macca's laughs, and the humiliation seems to sink him further beneath the water.
Suddenly, he feels an arm wrap around his torso, yanking him upwards with ease.

Naim can’t swim. Ryan, a lifeguard at the Bandee Public Pool, makes it his mission to fix that. Naim cannot for the life of him understand why.

Summary
It doesn't help that Ryan's fingers are suddenly moving, not holding him anymore, but just…hovering. Pads tickling over knuckles, down to his palm, and then up again. When their sticky palms slot together, it's Ryan's hand that comes up larger.

Summary
"So... what do you think?" Sonya asked Ryan now once it was just the two of them, turning around to look towards Coley and Naim, just as the brunette girl was closing up her locker. "Let's go." Coley said quietly to Naim who was staring down at the floor, looking deep in thought. He looked up right away and followed after Coley, towards the front doors of the school.
Sonya turned back around to look at Ryan who was watching the pair intently, before his blue eyes shifted back to look at Sonya. "What do I think about what?" Ryan asked and the short girl points with her thumb behind her. "About those two. Think they're dating?" She whispered before quickly glancing around them and the tall boy just leans against the wall, shrugging.
OR in which Sonya and Ryan, (both pining from afar), deeply misunderstand the fact that Coley and Naim are really good friends, and instead think the two new kids are actually a couple.
So what do they do? Come up with a plan to figure it out and find out if they're actually together or not. (Silly little blondies could've just asked. Duh.)

Summary
The last thing Peter sees is Tony's horrified, heartbroken expression leaning over him. The guilt in his eyes is almost worse than the burning pain that's taking Peter apart piece by piece. The world starts to go dark.
There's a flash of gold and green. For one moment, he finds himself standing amongst the Guardians and others. And then darkness again. It feels like blinking; an extended period of nothingness that ends as abruptly as it begins. One moment there’s nothing, the next there’s light.
“Easy,” a woman says. Her words are gentle, and carry a slight accent that he can’t place. "I'm called Wonder Woman. What's your name?"
