    I'm not gonna lie, I wasn't ever that much into danganronpa. So when I was hit with a bit of nostalgia to read up on KomaHina again, I was going purely by guts when I clicked onto the first installment. AND BOY WHAT A RABBIT HOLE I FELL INTO WGAHSGAHSGAJSG

    These three installments should honestly be considered as staples of the KomaHina fandom. Author-nim basically rewrote the entire fucking franchise, THAT SHIT TAKES LOVE, PASSION, CREATIVITY, AND SO MUCH MORE. As in, you can feel the passion the author put into each and every character in the way that theyre all so well thought-out, fleshed out (more than the game ever gave them justice Im not gonna lie), and you just feel the love between all of them.

    Author, you just about tool my brain and took it for a merry ride through a world of complicated situations, relationships, and people. My head is in such a state that I want to take it out and bite it into pieces. That and I wish to give your brain a kiss and then maybe dissect it. It's really one or the other.

    Komahina writers are strong and oh-so beautiful. And so they end up creating stories that are just as beautiful and complex and oh my god you gave life to these characters.

    Or: Nagito locks himself in a cage, and Hajime finds out he has some deep, forgotten kinks. He is as determined to try and ignore them as he is to help Komaeda. With an internally screaming Hajime and a pining Nagito, shenanigans ensue.

    (This is a longer, slow burn canon-compliant post dr3 piece, with a generally fluffy, comforting take on komahina & the cast living on the island. There's pining, a lot of pining. Plot happens. A lot of things happen, actually. Oh, and bdsm. That too :) )

    I missed Hinta and Komaeda so I decided to open ao3. And then I read this and realized "Im about to go down another rabbit hole arent I"

    I do love post-canon stories of danganronpa. I don't even mind if it's just normal day-to-day shit with some shenanigans, because honestly after all the shit theyve been through and all the shit theyve done, I just want to see them grow.

    And in this story, they did. Then, the author wrapped it up in the best way possible. Im ngl, I read this story lowkey waiting for the other shoe to drop, in a way it did with how Komaeda reminded Hinata that good days don't always last in the end. But then it was wrapped up nicely when Hinata said to just try again.

    Sometimes, the hardest part of the day is waking up. And I love how this story actually captured that part really well. It's a process of trying again and again, and fuck my body is heavy and my sins heavier, but try again anyway. Because I want to live. I want to live, so desperately.

    Ah, author if you're seeing this, don't mind it. It's just me and my own thoughts that turn against me and a body that kills me.

    Thank you so much for such a wonderful story.

    It hurt his head to think about what he was doing prior to… this, but he was fairly certain he’d gone to bed. Like any normal day. He’d returned from his routine shift at the Fatui headquarters and gone back to his studio apartment to sleep. The first thing his slightly dumbfound mind managed to conjure up was that he’d been isekai’d, but it was thought with a mental laugh and a ‘yeah, sure’ followed right after.
    Meaning the only feasible conclusion was that he was still asleep, and this was all a dream.

    cyanide narwhal by TrashcanWithSprinkles. I keep coming back to this fanfic since the day it got released and only now do I realized I haven't so much as bookmarked it. The world building, the build-up, the plot, the characters, they all felt so alive in the best ways possible. The worldbuilding feels solid, I adore it. The fact that it's ZhongChi and is Tartaglia-centric is the best thing to ever happen to me. I feel like a dog hearing their favorite words, except those words are all in this one fanfic.

    Author, I hope you know that in the face of ao3 going down, your fanfic is one of the few that I hurried to download to my device.
