When General Iroh hires a scrappy, underpaid blacksmith for Prince Zuko's rusted warship, he's not looking for someone to fix the doors: he's looking for someone who might fix his nephew. Kaia of Sui didn't sign up for that. She signed up for the money, the adventure, and an escape from a father who stopped speaking to her years ago.
But somewhere between dragging Zuko to music night and lying to military officers on his behalf, keeping her distance stops being an option, and the Fire Nation's war stops being someone else's problem.

Summary

Working to stop an entire nation conquered more than half the world is no easy feat, but so is solving every problem they come across, managing the emotions which come with it and the balance of their team when faced with tense situations, prolonged chases by a familiar scarred face, and the ever present threat that is the Fire nation.

Hope you all enjoy my take and twist on the beautiful series that ATLA is!! Im going for more of a free grounds feeling so the fic won't be following the script of the chapters, but rather the story line with my own dialogues and pace.
