Summary
Early in the second semester, with Mary added to the main friend group and Wendy grudgingly involved as well, Bella decides she wants to hold a sleepover with all six of them. Unfortunately, Lovecraft's not about to enable Rev's shenanigans, and insists on them getting a staff member as supervision.
Bella chooses Lovecraft himself. Which is bad news for Rev's secret (please say it's secret) crush on Lovecraft.
Featuring cultural exchanges, sentient tattoos, a professor's valiant but futile effort to stay a passive observer, and activities that are probably a bit too risky to do in a room full of sleeping students.

Open your eyes and see!Rev Vennett is a dragon hybrid. The only one he's aware of, in fact - thanks to his parents keeping him safe, away from any greedy witches or alchemists who want to kill him and harvest his corpse for its magically potent ingredients and organs. Away from anyone at all, actually.
He's glad they keep him safe. Even if it involves giving up his scales and blood for them to use in their rituals, and having his wings bound behind his back day in, day out, to help him avoid suspicion. Even if he yearns to fly. Rev's made peace with never leaving this house.
Until his parents abruptly decide it's time to go to school, and ship him off to Kincaid Academy for Deviants and Exiles. What they were thinking, he had no idea.
Especially when it turns out one of the teachers is another dragon.
(Or, remember DSMP/OSMP/Hermitcraft hybrid fics? Yeah? Well, I'm bringing them back for Freak Show. At least, that was the intention. It got away from me a little)

Rev is clearly struggling with a healthy relationship to physical touch, which is not made better by his friends’ blatant disregard for his dislike of said touch. Lovecraft can't let that slide. Good thing this single conversation will be sufficient to solve this issue, and definitely won’t lead to the uncovering of an unprecedented mess of issues that Lovecraft will need to untangle and fix!

Meanwhile, after exploring the grisly remains of a destroyed corporate station, Murderbot finds its body going through some deeply unsettling changes. There's no reason to make a connection between this weird, horrifying metamorphosis and the news of a couple of bots wreaking havoc across the Corporation Rim, until there are far too many reasons to ignore.
