Six years into Mecha Blue’s career, he was lost in the suit. Two years later, Revnivvy came into action. It wasn’t difficult to connect the dots after that; and Mecha Man’s new upgrade (or downgrade, depending on how you look at it) made the job more efficient.
Well, efficient up until he exploded.
Now the body was SDN’s problem, after some people decided a world without Mecha Man wasn’t a world worth living in. Of course, the robot doesn’t feel anymore like a robot than he does a human.

"Wait what? Someone’s moving here?" Lance looked to Hunk in confusion, but his confusion wasn’t reflected in Hunk’s face.
Pidge got their phone out and started tapping through it, "My friend, Keith. You know Shiro, right?" Lance nodded, "Keith is his brother."
"Wait, Shiro has a brother?! How come I didn't know this?!"
Pidge looked up from their phone, "Keith is his adoptive brother. They're really close, so I don't know how he hasn't been mentioned, or you just weren’t paying attention. Anyways, here's a picture of him."

Summary
It all started when Allura had enough of the red and blue paladin’s constant arguing and assigns them to the same room to make them learn to get along. The problem is, there is only one bed.
Fast forward, Keith goes through hell as he discovers his feelings for a certain blue paladin, gets kidnapped by Lotor, has to suppress his heat from his Galra heritage, and all the while going through the angst of unrequited love (spoiler alert, it’s not).
Meanwhile, Lance goes from building pillow walls to saving his precious red paladin from the damned Galra prince.

Peter's body instinctively moves to create distance between him and the overly flirty merc, even though he knows there's no point in trying. His back pushes further against Frank's chest. Frank, who, for some reason, has his nose buried in Peter's wavy hair.
They wouldn't go too far with this stunt, right? Frank is straighter than a ruler. Wade acts like that on a regular, but he backs off at some point. He knows not to let his fantasy run wild and hands wander. They need a simple reminder to snap back into reality and acknowledge how strange this whole thing is.
Peter braces his hands on Wade's shoulders. "Alright, I know I'm probably so irresistable when I'm half dead and sweaty as hell, but, uh, one at a time, guys."
AKA: Injured, whimpering Peter trapped between two beefy guys.

The Z-Team didn’t like Robert.
They were villains. They were fuck ups. They each had a giant chip on their shoulders that barely let them stand next to each other on a good day. As soon as his voice first came on the group call, they had to give him shit. If they didn’t start harassing him, the Blonde Boss Lady would have benched them thinking they were being mind controlled.
Every handler thought they could “handle” the Phoenix team. Tame them, make them palatable, water them down. Turn them good. So they didn’t like Robert.
But they did like his voice.

Robert has always been alone, since the day his papa killed his dad, making him lose both his parents all in one night. Since the day he had been forced to take the mantle of Mecha Man at the age of 15, to keep the family legacy going. Force to keep moving, never staying in one place to avoid being kidnapped by his papa who wants him and the Astral Pulse.
But now both the Mecha suit is destroyed and the Astral Pulse is missing. Luckily for Robert, SDN had promise to rebuild it to the best of their abilities in return of him dispatching for a superhero team. Unfortunately, the team he has been assigned to is the Z-Team, ex-villains trying to become heroes. They are also a bunch of assholes who not only make the job much harder than it should be but make it their job to drag him out of his goal of only being Mecha Man and teaching him to be Robert. Especially Sonar, who slowly finds himself wanting to have the brown eye, freckle face hero by his side forever and to teach him that he doesn't need to destroy himself to gain the approval of a dead man who never loved him.

He was the most basic and boring man he’d ever seen in his life. Average height, average brown hair cut into an average look, with big doe eyes and even bigger bags underneath them, a freckled face supported by a frame so thin and frail looking a soft breeze might knock him on his ass. All in all, he was entirely unremarkable in any and every way. Kind of cute, but in the same way a malnourished puppy covered in mud on the side of the road was cute.
