But when Dakota Laden shows up in Colorado with a proposition to join him, his sister, and two of their best friends on a cross-country road trip filming some of the most haunted locations in the country for a documentary show, Ellie is clueless as to why she agrees...
That's a lie; she knows why she agrees. She's had a crush on Tanner Wiseman since she was thirteen, and the years have done little to dispel it. Dakota is the only one who knows, but forced proximity is a funny thing, and maybe Ellie's girlhood crush wasn't as unrequited as she previously thought.
