Summary
Richie Tozier was, surprisingly, not as horrible of a roommate as Eddie expected him to be. He did the dishes, always paid his rent on time, and kept his mess contained to his own room. He never had people over, and most nights they even ate dinner together.
It was shockingly pleasant in a way Eddie wasn’t used to, which led Eddie to his current problem, his only problem with having Richie as his roommate– it was too domestic.

When Richie shows up on Eddie’s doorstep with a one way ticket and a suitcase, Eddie has to confront all the feelings he has for his best friend that he’s been pushing down since Derry. Complete with gay pining, gay yearning, gay roommates, and even (you guessed it) gay sex. Cheers.

Summary
Eddie's peacefully unpacking his stack of linen shirts when he hears it: a piercing whistle that permeates the walls of his apartment with seemingly no effort.
At once, he drops the shirts and straightens up. Is this a fire alarm? Oh shit, is the boiler about to explode?
As far as he knows, the alarms have more of a beeping rhythmic sound to them. They sure as hell don’t send out an alarm which sounds suspiciously like a clunky, reedy and entirely off-key rendition of ‘My Heart Will Go On’ by Celine Dion.
a.k.a the fic where Eddie and Richie are next door neighbours and Richie's favourite hobby is (badly) playing the recorder.

Richie Tozier decides it’s time to stop hiding parts of himself from the people he loves now that they’re back in his life. They're going to work through their trauma together in a completely non platonic way.

I’m okay, Rich, and you’re okay, so just… please, stop saying shit like that. You’re—you’re scaring me.” He says that part like he’d rather do anything but admit such a thing. But then, as his eyes dart over Richie’s face, his expression shifts, the usual constipation twisting into something close to hysteria that he tries and fails to mask with outrage. “And stop shaking me, shitbag! I had to claw my way out of a fucking disaster zone and I’m really sore—”
Richie doesn’t know how he knows it, that this is the one and only Eddie Kaspbrak, truly here in the flesh, but he does. Because it’s as if the piece of him that'd been unceremoniously ripped away has miraculously been sewn back into place, worn and faded and uneven and maybe the wrong way around, but still very much present.
“Eddie,” Richie chokes, and the man he loves with all his heart is standing right in front of him, alive, and there’s no way he could make himself think otherwise.

“Okay, all right, well, I think we’re done here,” Eddie sighs, but when he glances into the rear-view mirror, he sees a smile on his face, and his cheeks are flushed. He frowns as something occurs to him. “Wait, are we? What did you call me for?”
“You called me, Eduardo.”
“I called you back, idiot!”
“Yeah, yeah. I dunno, man,” Richie says easily enough. Eddie can hear his fingers rattling against some hard surface as he talks, restlessly drumming as he speaks. “I saw Stan, and suddenly I realised that I fucking missed him, and then hot on the tails of that I was like… man, do I miss Eddie, jeez! So I called. That’s all. No biggie.”
“Oh,” Eddie breathes, and does not try to stop the pleased smile blooms with Richie’s words. “I, uh. I miss you too, jackass. God only knows why, but I do.”
Richie groans happily. “Man, that’s the stuff! Nobody insults me like you do, Eds.”
“Nobody deserves it like you,” Eddie grins, and Richie bursts into laughter. Eddie’s soul soars at the sound of it.

The wind was knocked right out of Richie’s chest when he smiled at Richie again, the slightest tint of pink on his cheeks, his limbs shuffling around in a way that could only be bashfulness, like he wanted to fold in on himself and hide in his own skin. Richie had been pining over this guy for months, and he had rehearsed this greeting about a million times.
“Hi,” Richie blurted out stupidly. “Uh. How you doin’?”

It’s a dick move, but his head is starting to feel too small, everything is whirling, so maybe he should take Eddie up on those –
Holy… shit.
“What?” Eddie demands, glaring back with his usual pent up annoyance, only now the expression is ghosted over with a flickering memory of a boy that Richie had entirely forgotten.
