Summary
Everyone knew how the story went.
An impersonator came, took the Great Sage's place, and used what they knew to hurt his friends. The enraged King went after them in a fight that wouldn't let up. Finally, the foe was revealed to be one Six-eared Macaque, a celestial primate not unlike Sun Wukong himself — a fact that didn't save them from being brutally killed off barely a few seconds later.
When The Monkey King chose to feel pity and spare a dying Macaque, he altered the course of history. What exactly that entailed, only time could tell.
