In hindsight, Hinata knows he’s gotten better — so much better — than last year. He’s worked really hard on his receives, and his serves are a little more decent now. Maybe he has grown a lot more than his other teammates, considering how he truly did start from the bottom.
But just because he has improved more than anyone else, it doesn’t mean he’s on par with everyone else.
And deep down, Hinata knows it better than anyone around him.

But so what if he’s teammates with the person who broke his heart back in high school? That was a long time ago. They’re adults now. He can be mature. The look of horror doubled. Roadrunner replied:

Coyote shrugged. Non-verbal communication worked just fine. Why fix what was not broken?
And then, Roadrunner’s face contorted into something Coyote had never seen on him before: anger.

“Whoa, Grace.” Keith holds two hands up to stop Grace from rambling. “An engraving? You want an engraving?”
Grace snaps his fingers. “Yes! I want that really, really bad.”
