“My apologies, I should be on my way”
She felt the heat from her hips perish and snapped out of her daze, watching Maomao retreat from their shared closeness. Did she not want this too? Whether it be instinct, or from the loss of heat, she couldn’t handle watching her apothecary run away from her. Would she still reject me if I touch her, and hold her back?
Her fingers touched the coldness of the bandages wrapped around Maomao’s arm, holding it in place for a few seconds. Her eyes absorbed the way Maomao’s pupils shined with surprise, with a hint of… mischief? Zui only licked her lips as her own eyes trailed down to her apothecary’s mouth, watching for even the slightest of movements, a hint for her approval.
So Zui waited a bit, opting not to talk, instead only to drown in Maomao’s eyes. She couldn’t help but ask, her tongue running wild. If I could evaporate in your gaze, would you watch, or stop me? Ah, but she couldn’t.
