She looked back at the twins, still soundly asleep, tangled under the fur blanket she had bought with Shilian designs dyed on the front. Luke’s small hand had curled around the corner, while Leia had some of the leather in her mouth. They were still so small, fitting so snuggly into her arms she would almost be concerned it weren’t for the fact that had been evaluated on Polis Massa, with human twins often being smaller to make space. Ahsoka still has a holo of Leia asleep in Rex’s buy’ce. Ahsoka had never held something so small in her arms that had…mattered so much.
A safe, happy, normal life. The kind their parents would’ve given them.
