在赛车这条只允许一个人站上最高处的道路上，继国兄弟走向了截然不同的命运。继国岩胜，自幼被视为继国家的继承人与“理所当然的天才”。他走在传统而稳妥的精英车手路线中，被家族、赞助与期待层层包裹，也被迫在学业、责任与赛车之间不断妥协。
继国缘一，则是在父母分居后随母亲远赴欧洲的孩子。起初他并未接触赛车，只对小动物和世界抱有温柔的好奇。直到十岁那年，在一场卡丁车比赛中，他第一次看见哥哥站在赛道中央，也第一次意识到——速度可以如此纯粹。
从那天起，一切开始失衡。
