“A hybrid, Xisuma, is a sub-human.” he explains. “Created by humans for the purposes of manual labour, we intertwine their DNA with that of animals, creatures, mobs and the like so that they may more efficiently perform their work. This has the unfortunate side effect of impacting their intelligence, the animal genes affect them negatively in that regard.”
“And I am…” he asks tentatively, “a hybrid?”
“You are three-quarters human, which means you will be less impacted. We brought you here from the end farms to test your intelligence, it’s why you must study and learn.”
