Summary
Daniel's hand on his shoulder slides down to his bicep and squeezes. "Do you think I still could've pulled you? Could human Daniel have won the affections of human Armand?"
"Not a chance," Armand replies airily.
Daniel's jaw drops in mock outrage. "Really?!"
They make a pretty picture in the mirror. Two young people in love. They've dawdled long enough here, though. The nightlife calls.
"Would you like to try?"

Summary
"Yeah!" Daniel released him then and fetched a wrinkled magazine from the arm of the couch, handing it to Armand. "They had these at the library when I stopped in last month."
Armand examined the cover. 'Muscle & Fitness: Body building for a long, strong life,' it read, the bold yellow lettering hovering above the image of a ridiculously muscular man and woman, each in a skimpy neon leotard. Grotesque.
"I don't have dumbbells yet, but there's an article in there that said you could use gallons of water, so I saved these milk jugs from the last couple of weeks and filled 'em up at the sink. I've been getting up a little early to do a few sets while you're, you know, out, doing your thing."
Daniel was obviously quite excited, and as much as Armand usually enjoyed seeing him happy, he found himself more perplexed than anything else. He turned the magazine out to face Daniel. "You wish to look like this?"

Summary
Armand has started to notice lately that his fix isn't quite doing it for him anymore. That watching on its own may not be enough for much longer. His craving less and less curbed through observation alone.
The prospect has occurred to Armand that, in order to kick the habit, maybe he just needs a little bit more. Something satisfying enough to finally properly scratch the itch. And then he could give it up, let Daniel go for good. He's thought about what that would take. He's thought about how they left it. How he didn't know, neither of them knew, that their last time had been their last time. Armand has wondered if that's the closure he's missing. If maybe all he really needs is one last night with his claws digging into Daniel's back and Daniel's hands threaded through his hair. It's the addiction talking, Armand knows, but it's persuasive.

Summary
But the truth remained: Armand had met an unassuming young man in San Francisco and discovered within him something fascinating. And now he wondered, with their roles reversed, whether the same thing might happen again. Would Daniel Molloy, now forty-five years old, meet Arun, a young man in New York City, and discover something fascinating within him?
What would it mean if he did? That they were somehow fated for each other? Might that be the proof Armand rarely admitted he was looking for? The proof that erasing it all had been a mistake?
And what would it mean if he didn't? If Daniel Molloy noticed nothing and chewed him up and spit him back out like every other young student whose hero-worship he'd taken advantage of? What then?

Summary
Paris, 1874.

Summary
For Tenzō, leaving behind his small-time animation job in Saskatchewan for a role with Delittry Feature Animations in sunny Southern California was a dream come true.
Or, at least, it should have been. But between the misleading job description, the mind-numbingly boring work, and the difficulty of finding an apartment he can afford, Tenzō is starting to wonder whether uprooting his life was the right decision.
So when the opportunity to freelance at White Fang, a small and independent studio, presents itself, Tenzō takes it. Even if it is a violation of his employment contract with Delittry. The risk is worth it for the chance to express himself creatively.
And with White Fang’s eccentric director, Kakashi at the helm, and his small team of rowdy creative-types, Tenzō is sure he’s in for quite the ride.

Summary
The script Tenzō had been trying to follow, two friends sharing a casual dinner, had already been tested by the indulgent way Kakashi had been enjoying his food, the lateness of the hour, and the rate of his own pulse, but what happened next shattered the illusion completely.
Rather than accepting the gyoza with his own chopsticks, Kakashi leant forward, taking a bite out of the gyoza right from Tenzō’s chopsticks before leaning back in his seat and closing his eye again as he evaluated it.
While Kakashi tilted his head back and forth in consideration, chewing slowly, Tenzō stood frozen, chopsticks still aloft with the other half of the savory fried appetizer in their grasp. He had not at all been intending to feed Kakashi directly.
Had it seemed like that was what he’d been trying to do?
Had that been what Kakashi was expecting him to do?
Surely there was nothing to think of it. Surely Kakashi, too, had had a little too much to drink and had simply acted out of impulse. Surely there was no need to worry about the way the shock of it was giving way to something warmer spreading through Tenzō’s veins.

Summary
Dense summer air trapped under an unbroken canopy of leafy branches. No rush, no obligations, and certainly no cell phone service. Though it’d been fourteen years since he had seen it last, Willow Oak was almost exactly as Kakashi remembered it, even down to the ice cream selection at the local gas station.
This week-long vacation was supposed to be just the break he needed to clear his head so that he could return home to New York prepared to handle the mounting problems in his life.
But he hadn’t considered for even a moment that Tenzō would still be in Willow Oak. Tenzō, with whom he’d spent the countless summers of his youth, racing through the woods, floating in lakes, and sharing secrets in the dark. Tenzō, who had done a lot of growing up in the intervening years, it turned out.
And now, after a week of rediscovering their friendship and uncovering something new and promising, Kakashi is realizing that Willow Oak has problems of its own, and no matter how long he stays, the ones he left behind in New York will be waiting for him when he returns.

Summary
Without warning, the unmistakable sound of a zipper being undone pierced the night, sharp and quick, causing Tenzō’s head to whip around towards his companion again.
There Kakashi was, trousers undone, hand down the front of them.
“Senpai! What are you doing?!” Tenzō hissed in surprise.
Kakashi looked up at him, his right eye crinkled in a smile. “It’s like you said. The protocols only require one person on watch. You’ve got this. I trust you.”
As absurd as this proclamation was, it did remind Tenzō that he shouldn’t be taking his eyes off of his watch area, and he dutifully turned to face forward again, face feeling even hotter now.
“So what?” he asked in a whisper, “You’re just going to…?!”
Again, the log he was seated on shifted, and Tenzō’s brain supplied him with plenty of possible explanations for what movements Kakashi was making to cause it.
“Don’t worry about what I’m doing. Stay vigilant, Kohai.”
