By the time Chris made it to the kitchen table, the food was steaming on a plate, a fork already stuck in for him. “You gonna tell me it was stupid?” Chris mumbled.
“What? Stealing alcohol and watering it down, thinking we wouldn’t notice?” Buck suggested. “Yeah, it was. Your dad’s been drinking the same brand of tequila for over a decade.”
“I meant…the drinking,” Chris shoved a huge mouthful of egg in his mouth.
“It kind of seems like you already know,” Buck shrugged.
