Pomni’s eyes roved over the various models lined up on their little white stands. “Are we just doomed to always glitch under the map like this?” Gummigoo asked from behind her, examining some of the decorum scattered around. “It’ll be fine, just let me…” Pomni trailed off, glancing up at the walls to see if there was anything to scale. “Uhhh… Pomni?” Gummigoo asked from behind her. “…Take a look at this model…” He said from behind her, sounding considerably worried.

He knows exactly what it is. A life where he isn’t constantly being whisked from one existence to another, all for the convenience of some drongo with way too much power than what’s good for his dim wits (and who, excruciatingly, is just about as real as he is). Where his existence doesn’t have to be limited to those agonisingly short periods of time when he remembers. Where he doesn’t have to spend every moment with Pomni haunted by the reminder that he’ll be right back to a state as good as nonexistence before he knows it.
Where she can rescue him.

Summary
The pin with Bubble’s face on it—(“Only 9.99!” Pomni could recall Caine saying) —that he was wearing catches in the light. Pomni can’t help but find how ironic it is considering how uncomfortable Gummigoo is around Bubble. There’s nothing on the pin that directly spells out ‘NPC’ or anything distinct like that, but it still serves its purpose and it serves it well.
Seeing Gummigoo with it on is a little silly, but every single time Pomni catches sight of it, no matter how long it’s been, and no matter how manic or stressed out she is at the moment, she can only feel grateful.
It means he’s still here with her.
“—Ya should at least take me out to dinner first If you’re gonna keep starin’ at my chest like that, Mate.” Gummigoo says; snapping her out of her reverie. Its all in jest, and the subtle laughter in his voice confirms it.

While on an adventure Caine sent the entire group on, Gummigoo and Pomni have an impromptu date together.
