He had been working in the Administration for longer than a year and never questioned who he was or where he had come from, he truly believed that the Administration had set a purpose that allowed him to save those with the same destiny as him, ending in a place where he never truly belonged. Until recently something caught his eye that made his mind drift into the same thoughts over and over again.

Jay’s eyes were filled with nothing but anger, his brows furrowed in a determined scowl. His movements were sharp and precise, each step he took filled with pent-up frustration. The air around him seemed to crackle faintly with electricity.
In complete contrast, Cole’s eyes reflected a deep, unsettling fear. His usual composure a lot more tight, stepping with caution as if searching for a way to navigate the unwanted battle without causing harm. His shoulders were tense, his muscles strained.
Cole kept his gaze on Jay’s pale face, seeking some sign of the friend he knows deep beneath the overshadowing fury. There was nothing.
