Slowly before her eyes, the automaton came to life. His hands clenched, his legs stretched. Steam puffed out as a soft whirring could be heard from within. Metal eyelids fluttered for a moment before they shuttered open. The automaton’s pupils flicked around the room, taking in his surroundings. He blinked curiously and looked up to meet Bellara’s eyes.
She pulled in a shaky breath and smiled softly. “Hi, Cyrian.”
With the help of some unlikely allies, Bellara pulls an astroboy and builds...Robo-Cyrian! It doesn't go well.

Bellara frowned and flicked through her notes. “I thought her dad died at sea, leaving her the heiress to a wealthy estate?”
Illario paused then nodded. “Ah, yes of course. How could I forget. She had two fathers. They were gay.”
Illario happily agrees to let Bellara tie him up and try out praise kink. He's a supporter of the arts after all, and she needs inspiration for her novel.
Illario just didn't expect she would have so much to say. It breaks him a little.

“Doctor, do you need anything before–” Bepo pauses in the doorway, aghast at the sight of Law with his phone in hand. “Doctor, don’t take him back!”
Irritation wells up inside of Law. He’s almost grateful– it’s better than the dread, and a good chance to remind his haywire limbic system the simple reality of things.
“I’m not taking him back, because we were never dating,” he snaps. At Bepo’s watery-eyed puppy dog face, he continues, “It’s fine. Just– go home, Bepo. Good work today.”
“Okay,” Bepo says, meek, still obviously displeased with the situation. “You too, Doctor. You tell me if you need anything, anything at all.”
“Okay,” Law says, because what else can he do with the lump in his throat? “Good night.”
A few footsteps later, he’s alone with his cell phone again. Him and the whole nosy goddamn world at his fingertips.

“Five thousand berries that Luffy will be the one to make the first move.”
Usopp definitely shouldn’t do this. Luffy would laugh if he ever found out about the bet, but Usopp feels like Law maybe wouldn’t be as forgiving. And there’s a risk of losing money to Nami, which always means more berries in her hands than initially agreed upon. Usopp has been very careful to keep his debt to her manageable.
But Usopp also came to be a part of the Strawhat crew honestly, which means that when confronted with a dangerous situation, he leaps without hesitation. “Five thousand on Torao snapping and kissing Luffy first.”
(Or: Usopp's Terrible, Horrible, No-Good, Very Bad Week third-wheeling his best friend and some guy said friend brought home with him.)

It can be incredibly difficult to anticipate a disaster.
Luffy didn’t even look him in the face before kick-starting this one, just smiled to himself, lost in an unknown world, and Law was already preparing to jump overboard and join him.
Or
Luffy and Law swap hearts before leaving Wano because that is a perfectly reasonable way to handle your crush sailing into the opposite horizon in the morning. And because their entire relationship is based off of one of them going 'get in loser, we're going to upend the natural order', and the other sliding into the passenger seat with takeaway coffees already in hand.
