Summary
Weiss Schnee grew up in Atlas, raised by humans and taught by Atlesian standards. Even if she didn't fit in perfectly, Atlas was her culture and her people, the only she'd ever known and the only one she would ever need. Being a faunus was just a small bump that made her stand out from everyone else.
Then she arrived at Beacon and being a faunus wasn't shameful or strange. It was (mostly) normal. As she settled into her newfound life of freedom and blossoming relationship, she thought she understood what being a faunus meant. Moreso, she thought she had left her past behind, discarding the hateful lessons of her home and moving on from old traumas.
Then she got a strange urge that would lead to finding out being a faunus meant more then just being born a faunus.
