Summary
They find it lying in a crumpled heap on the back of a wooden chair sitting behind the kitchen table. It is by pure luck that it remains clean, considering the blood that got splattered all over the walls and the table as they slashed the woman's throat and her abdomen at the same time. The checkers are a bright, vibrant red – red not like blood but like strawberries – contrasting prettily against the white ones. It has a strap to be worn around the neck and two ties to be fastened around the waist. There's a single pocket at the front around the stomach area, but otherwise it looks like a plain kitchen apron.
Or: the one where Cletus and Carnage stick around in their latest victims’ apartment after a nightly killing because of an impromptu inspiration to play house.

Summary
[Set after the events of Death Spiral.]
One could say Carnage’s current situation does not quite reflect his initial ambitions of Godhood when he set out to carve a drastically different path than his beloved lifelong partner in crime – however willingly that situation came to be. Disappointed, betrayed, tired and more weakened than he has ever been before thanks to one Peter Parker, Carnage decides that there is nothing left for him to do but to join the only person who has ever mattered to him again. He has so missed the rush of some good, old-fashioned chaos.
However, his return is not exactly as well-received as he had imagined it would be, while Cletus himself appears to have undergone through some major changes in his absence.
Can they regain their once unbreakable bond or have both of their actions caused a rift too great to be mended?
