“...Nagi?”
Nagi—because it is, it must be Nagi from the future—turns to look at him, a hand on the back of his neck. He looks… familiar, more familiar than Reo would expect. Then again, it wasn’t like Nagi was the type of person to change radically in the future.
“Oh, hi.”
They’re silent for a while. Reo clears his throat. Without meaning to, his eyes keep flickering to different parts of Nagi. He’d forgotten to ask Ego how far into the future this device would let him see into—and he tells himself the reason he inspects Nagi is to deduce that piece of information, and not just because Nagi has grown into quite the handsome man, but that doesn’t entirely explain why Reo’s eyes keep trailing to Nagi’s hand without fail.

Reo doesn’t know why he’s so surprised. Nagi was one of the most popular players in the Blue Lock program. Obviously, there was the possibility he would get married. And sure, Nagi didn’t look too much older, and sure, maybe Reo hadn’t expected Nagi to get married so quickly, but—

A trepidatious voice calls out from the other side, “Should I call 911? You’ve been non-stop vomiting for, like, an hour.”
“Just a second…”
Nagi begrudgingly hoists himself up, trying to keep his head from spinning. There’s a wicker laundry basket in the corner, which he tosses the suit into and frantically shuts the lid. The knocking won’t stop, so Nagi races over to cautiously creak open the door and face his friend.
Now revealed, Reo looks extremely worried, holding two loose Zofran and a large bowl that’s way too expensive to hold puke. He’s not, at least, surrounded by a dozen reporters and equipped with a microphone. So he’s not suspicious, Nagi actually pulled that off and—
“Holy shit,” Reo’s jaw drops and he gasps. “What happened in there?!”
A hand moves up and grazes a tender spot on his forehead. Nagi winces. So his quick trip to East 6th Street had come with a surprise souvenir. What a pain.
“I…” Nagi begins to feel stupid for not glancing in the mirror beforehand. “I slipped and hit my head… on the toilet…”

When the article opens, his screen is suddenly covered in pink and glitter and lots of bows that are more obnoxious than appealing. Nagi's tempted to close the tab and find something else but pauses.
This must've been written by a girl. He's heard that girls are masters at romance—meaning, he's in good hands.
He looks at the headline again; 𝘎𝘶𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘦 written in a flowy font. At the very least, it's worth a shot. Besides, it's not like he has anything better to do. And also, he's pretty desperate.

Nagi sits up. The blankets slip down and pool around his waist. He reaches over, fingers outstretched, and takes Reo's face in his hands. "Reo," he sighs, and it's the fondest Reo's ever heard anyone say his name before. Then, without much warning at all, Nagi leans in and kisses him on the mouth.
Reo's still a little too sleepy, too slow to react. His hands twitch under the covers, but before he gets the chance to react, Nagi's pulling away to press another kiss to his cheek. "Hold on," Reo says. "Wait a second—do we know each other?"
Nagi sits back, just far enough to look Reo in the eyes, wholly unimpressed. "I'm your boyfriend," Nagi tells him, as if it's obvious.

Reo was so stunned he barely remembered to lock the door and follow after him until Nagi was already halfway to the car.
