Summary
You go to the Favour Tree, like everyone does. It’s huge, maybe one of the biggest ones you’ve ever seen. The sun shines, making everything around look bright but also making underneath, around the trunk, look super dark and shadowed. You’ve asked every one you’ve ever been to for the same thing, and you’re about to do it again, but you stop and think before clapping.
You’ve already asked the Tree to keep her safe. Is there something else you can do? You chew your lip.
Suddenly, you remember a traveller saying something to you once. Something about how, where they’re from, they have a different way of asking for favours. You don’t remember who they were, or when you spoke to them. Something about it sticks out to you now, when it didn’t before. You figure it wouldn’t hurt to try.
You grab a leaf. You hold it close, flower in your other hand. “I want us all to beat the King and go see Nille in Bambouche.” You say, a few times. Then you fold it up, and… let it go.
… That felt stupid. You clap your hands too, just to be extra safe. Hm.
With a shrug, you turn around to head to the Clocktower. You have dinner to make. Maybe samosas.

“What are you, then?” you ask.
The figure exhales, and you’re not quite sure how, considering the lack of a mouth or nose. “I am pure data, knowledge, inevitability, consequence…” they trail off, “and I have no need for a name.”
“Alright, Miss Consequence,” you parrot.

Somehow, you've managed to get yourself stuck in a time loop. At least it's you who is stuck— you can't imagine any of your other party members would be particularly equipped to tease out the puzzle around why.
No, it's just you... and whatever Consequence is.

Summary
A routine mission to deal with a small time group of thieves goes south when Tommy finds himself in the middle of a Syndicate operation. Thieves or not, people were in danger and Tommy was a hero.
Hopelessly outmatched Tommy intervenes, handing an even better prize to the Syndicate on a silver platter. But before the Syndicate’s most sadistic leader can turn his latest catch into another pawn in his game, said sidekick throws himself in harm's way in order to save the villain's life.
The Syndicate always repays its debts, even to heroes. A life for a life. But this victory for Order came at the cost of the Syndicate’s claim on one unaware sidekick. And no one escapes the Syndicate.
