Summary
When Eijirou Kirishima is faced with some unexpected news that turns his life on its head, he finds himself alone in a place he hadn’t been in nearly two decades. That’s another thing that makes Katsuki itchy. He’s always been a violent dude, but lately when he looks at Kirishima he’s filled with both this deep anger and this absurd need to protect, as if he doesn’t believe Kirishima can handle himself in a fight. It’s ridiculous. No—it’s outright offensive, is what it is, and Katsuki wants to purge it from his system, bleed and sweat and swear it out until there’s nothing left of this angry softness. He doesn’t like the feeling at all.
He also doesn’t like waking up in the morning and checking his social media feed only to see a side of Kirishima he’s not used to seeing. Or not not-used-to, but…
((Bakugou sees a video of Kirishima at a 3-A class outing he skipped the evening before, and starts to reconsider his decision to always get a full night's sleep.))

Summary
Penguins are overrated, in Katsuki's mind. They smell, they're loud, and they shit every ten minutes. How he ended up working with them, he doesn't know, but he hates it.
Okay, so maybe he needed a pay raise. Sue him. That doesn't mean he enjoys it. It's hard to enjoy getting bit every time he so much as looks at a penguin, after all. Let alone when he tries to handle one.
It certainly doesn't help that he keeps getting paired with Kirishima, who's all smiles and way too damn friendly for his own good.

Or, when Katsuki works as an animal handler because he's broke and hungry, and inadvertently warms up to both the penguins, and a certain red-haired boy.
