There's a mysterious circus that travels around the region called Cirque Fantastique, or the Circus of Fantasies. At 25 years old, famed ice skater Victor Nikiforov faces a career-ending injury. While it doesn't stop him from skating again, it accelerates his lost interest in the sport. He goes to work as an editor for a winter sport magazine where he meets a cute anxious co-worker, Yuuri Katsuki.
Victor gets an email a week before Christmas that he's been invited to a Christmas Day Pairs Exhibition and is filled with interest for skating again. Only problem is he doesn't have a partner. That is until Yuri shows him a video of a mysterious skater doing his routine. Now Victor will do whatever it takes to find this skater to perform with him at the Exhibition.
