Summary
Dan works at the deli counter of Stalter’s Grocery with co-worker PJ, who is inexplicably insistent upon setting Dan up with PJ’s longtime friend, Phil Lester. Dan, who is only just starting to open up about his sexuality and mental health struggles, maintains that now is not the time for a budding romance. Fate – and okay, maybe a few ploys enacted by PJ – keeps bringing Dan and Phil together anyway, and they must learn how to communicate clearly and maintain a level of independence in order to protect this newfound friendship which keeps threatening to grow into something more.

Summary
By definition, Dan Howell is not mentally well. He’s slowly losing hope and realizing that he’s not capable of having a ‘normal’ life with the list of mental disorders that suffocate his will to live.
Honestly, Dan isn’t sure if it’s really worth it to try and survive.
Until Phil Lester involuntarily steps into Dan’s life and by Phil’s definition, Dan’s more than worth it.

Summary
Daniel Howell and Phil Lester, two of the biggest names at BBC Radio.
The two had infamously been at each other’s throats for years, taunts and teasing filling every interaction they had. In fact, the only thing either one of them couldn’t stand more than the other was the thing that came up most in both of their shows: soulmates. Dan in private didn’t believe in them, and Phil would change the subject every time he conveniently could.

Summary
Dan came to Earth to observe humanity as a whole, not to obsess over one voice on the radio. But he's questioning his purpose in life and Phil is a nice distraction. When the stress leads Dan to a very literal crash-out, he has no one else to turn to but his new parasocial obsession. His aim is perhaps too accurate.
Phil is just a small town radio host, but sometimes he still dreams of internet fame and documentary filmmaking and uncovering proof of extraterrestrial life. After a mysterious crash landing destroys the town's only radio tower, his dreams come true in more ways than one.
