    Summary

Cliff watches him squeeze the phone between his cheek and shoulder, lifting the jersey over his head as he continues to talk, a bit distracted now by the multitasking.

“And was good practice, you know, for when I am your husband."

Immediately, the locker room goes dead silent. And so does Rozanov, in fact.

In which Ilya accidentally calls himself Shane's future husband in the middle of the Bears locker room. Worse still, they're not even dating yet.

    Summary

Every Boston Raider knows that although their captain has a girl in every port, he’s got a soft spot for the one in Montreal. Dr. Shane Hollander knows it’s better to have a semi-regular source of casual sex than try to make a relationship work during residency. Ilya Rozanov knows that the doctor he’s fucking in Montreal is unaware that he plays hockey, and in fact probably thinks he’s Bratva.

    Summary

Drafted to the OHL from Russia as a teen, Ilya billets with a Canadian family named the Hollanders. They're kind, if a bit odd in ways that Ilya thinks must go beyond simple cultural differences. But he doesn’t pay it much mind because living with them brings him Shane: their sweet, unbelievably naïve, hero-worshipping son who quickly becomes like a little brother to Ilya. Only Ilya finds his attraction to Shane goes far beyond what’s strictly appropriate for supposed brothers.

Shane's the sweetest thing Ilya ever laid eyes upon. He'd taken to Ilya immediately, with a ferocity that made Mrs. Hollander gently chide him at first until Ilya brushed her concerns off. He has big brown eyes that somehow seem perpetually wet, adorable freckles sprinkled across across his cheeks and nose, and the fattest, poutiest mouth that can only be made for unspeakable acts. He is sin itself wrapped in the most innocent package. He refers to Ilya as his brother, which simultaneously makes Ilya want to hug him and ruffle his hair but also devour him whole.

Hi Shane! Just messaging about our heater again. Do you think we could get it fixed today?
    Shane
So sorry for the late reply, Haley! I’m at the Olympics and my time zones are all messed up. Messaged my HVAC guy and he’ll be there in the morning.

    Summary

"Never have I ever checked out my teammates in the locker room." Comeau said, looking directly at him.

Shane left his beer exactly where it was and met Comeau's gaze without saying a word, waiting for someone else to break the silence, because surely that had to have been a joke.

"Come on, Cap. It's no fun if you're just gonna lie." Drapeau let out with a quiet snort.

    Shane frowned, genuinely confused. "What?"

"You really expect us to believe you've never taken a peek at us in the showers?"

    ⎯⎯⎯

Or, a game of Never Have I Ever with the Voyageurs turns ugly, it's a good thing Ilya is not too far way.
