They say it happened in the dark of the night. Or, if you asked the people of the Wall Market, it happened during the middle of a typical Wall Market day. When it was all going down, most people didn’t know until it was already over and then there was a new Don in town. As quiet as the wind and as final as a nail in a coffin, Don Corneo, the leech and owner of Wall Market, was swiftly and violently removed from power, his entire empire being taken over in a single night… by a single man.
That man was named Cloud Strife and he was now officially the new Don of Wall Market.

Summary
With a sigh Leon leaned his head against the cool glass of the car’s window, his gaze fixed on the scenery they were driving by. Not that it was much to look at, really. It was a rainy day, to the point of getting foggy, and the autumn had progressed so far that most of the leaves had fallen off the trees. Everything looked dreary and depressing, and Leon wasn’t enthusiastic in the slightest to get out there to search for the missing girl.
Not that he didn’t want to help, he really did. Someone had to bring this girl back home to her father, and even if she wasn’t the daughter of the president she deserved someone to come rescue her. But the information they had to start from? Laughable, at best. Someone had maybe spotted a girl that might’ve looked like Ashley Graham, and it might have been somewhere around this general area. There were so many maybes, so many question marks, and Leon didn’t exactly feel like traipsing through the cold forests until he’d stumble across the girl.
To make things worse, he’d been given a partner who was basically a rookie. Leon wasn't looking forward to this at all.

Summary
Mid-2011. Jill Valentine has been cleared by the BSAA to return to daily life though not to active duty. She is free of Albert Wesker’s control but not the emotional scars or the unrelenting fear that she had left the world permanently worse off during those years. Much to the concern of her friends, Jill also refuses to talk to anyone about it or venture back out into the world she believes that she helped ruin.
Leon S. Kennedy is a mess. Or an idiot, depending on who you ask. Both, if that person is Claire Redfield. After another major fight with Leon about his drinking “habits”, Claire is worried for both of her friends. Neither of them will talk about their problems. So maybe, she thinks, if they won’t talk to anyone else then they will talk to each other.
It’s a last ditch effort to keep both of her friends from spiralling down to rock bottom but Claire is determined: maybe she can finally get both of them to realize that there is someone else out there in the world who understands what it’s like to feel like you don’t have a choice. Maybe who they really need is one another to get through it.
