"Shane!" He took his focus from the bowl for a split second to smile back at her in greeting, "How is my favorite pregnant gay ex boyfriend!" Shane paused the stirring of his thick frozen smoothie to this time properly look at the screen of his phone.
"How many of those do you have?" Shane asked, genuinely confused. Concerned, even.Shane is genuinely grateful for a friend like Rose. Even if she plans on sleeping on his doormat.
A short silly story about Rose loving on pregnant Shane (honestly, same)

Summary
“Ilya, what are we gonna do?” Shane says.
Ilya finishes whatever he has been doing on his phone, and tosses it gently to the bed beside him. He crosses the room to Shane, stands in front of him, squeezes into his shoulders with his big hands, rubbing them like he means to warm them up.
“Looks like we will have a little vacation,” he says, with a big obnoxious grin.
Boston and Montreal are sent to Paris to play against each other in an exhibition series in January 2017. Ilya and Shane decide to stay in Paris for one more night. Just one more night, so they can talk. Maybe finally understand each other.
They aren't expecting a volcano to erupt in Iceland and close all the airspace in Europe, leaving them stranded there. Together.

Summary
After Shane comes out, the Metros become convinced he might be attracted to them.
Shane corrects this assumption with devastating precision, accidentally describes Ilya Rozanov in the process, and somehow turns the entire locker room into a deranged pageant of heterosexual insecurity.

Summary
“Can’t hang out tonight, Hayd. I have plans.”
“Bullshit,” Hayden responds. “You never have plans.”
Objectively, this used to be true. Nowadays Shane has many, many plans, between his nightly plans to look at Ilya’s penis through Skype and his various long-term plans laid out helpfully in his notebook, Canva (For Ilya’s sake. He is a visual learner), and more recently, Excel. Shane loves that excel sheet. He’s colour coded it.
In 2017, Shane Hollander spirals and proposes to his boyfriend of 4 days (or 7 years, or 9 years, or not his boyfriend at all, depending on how you look at it), which leads to a lot of plans, weird theories in the Montreal Voyageur locker room, some Twitter drama, and Ilya Rozanov entering his WAG era.
