It was then, a fraction of a second before intent turned to bloody reality, that a thought flashed inside his head, clear and cold as the Void itself.

It had been over a decade since he’d set foot in Dunwall, and he was not keen on going back. He remembered the bite of steel against his neck as he stared into the glass eyes of a metal mask, asking for his life, promising to leave Dunwall.
